Thats because you are using the codex release and it doesnt work for many people. You need to use the Anadius release repack. Go to Anadius repacks (google it im not even sure if i can post the link here) and look for sims 4 and then sims updater. It works for people like us that are unable to use the codex release.
Or you could just wait for the fitgirl repack, but i think the fitgirl repack is based on the Codex release as well, so it may not work either for you.
At the moment, I don’t see too much change with this update! My Sims 4 launches normally, and everything looks OK!
On the other hand, yes, I did notice the new interface at the beginning, before playing, there where there is all the pack installed!
But other than that, for the moment it works, so as long as it is hard!

2Lee: There is no installer in this update. If you ed the archive, then you need to unpack it and transfer the contents to the directory with the game, agreeing to the replacement. Move the contents of the Codex folder to the folder with the game, agreeing to the replacement.

2Tom: Have you read the contents of the Changelog.txt file? It says what to do, if it doesn’t help, then ask on the forum, for example in Steam. There is a problem with the sound in the original game too.

Ive ed the files but how do i switch to for example dutch?
To change the language, use the same link to the file “language-changer.exe”. But I do not know the Dutch language game s.
I was having trouble w all of these so i instead used the anadius repack for this but i dont understand what folders im supposed to copy to where, is it diff instructions from this
I changed all of the given files correctly, the game launched, everything was fine, except when I press play, it doesn’t seem to load the map. Same goes when I go into Create A Sim, where the Make A Story Sim appears but no chat bubble pops up. Afterwards, when I proceed to click on the menu button, it doesn’t work! I wasn’t having this problem back when I only had the Snowy Escape crack. Any ideas what’s the problem??
I put the game on a clean computer following the links from the post, saved game from last year, I have no problems. I can advise you to uninstall the game, restart your computer and reinstall the game.

Updates are installed by copying files from the “Update” folder to the game folder “The Sims 4 Snowy Escape”, agree to the replacement. Folders from the “Codex” folder are also copied and replaced. The link to the language pack has a Tutorial for ordinary people and others.
