I accidentally left Controlled Folder Access enabled. As a result, the update encountered an error mid-update, and now I can’t finish the update. 🙁 40GB installation ruined. 🙁
Uninstall and reinstall… back up your saves to your desktop first, just in case. Your game folders should stay put though.
Thanks for releasing so quickly. I was just reading reviews and it looks like even though this patch has fixed a lot of bugs, it’s also causing some new ones such as it broke the acting career, and hygiene no longer builds during a shower in a tub/shower combo. You are a saint… but with EA we can’t freaking win for losing!

The game is now requiring origin to be installed.. I did everything correctly and even installed the crack , help @SKIDROWCODEX

I’m getting the origin is not running error.
I’ve installed the latest update and copied the Game folder and I’ve also added exception to the AV.
Is there anything else I should be doing?
Solved it.
For some reason even after adding the exception the AV was blocking it.
If somebody else runs into this problem just disable AV completely, start the game then re-enable AV.
Does this include all the expansion packs?

i just now went to the for the discover university with the link that allows us to just the torrent patch you are missing (i have everything updated, i just needed the discover university patch)
but as i went to unpack the file like i always do with my WinRAR file un-packer, its asking for a to release the files…
iIve tried looking all over the site for the to do so and i just cant find it…i’m so frustrated…iv’e been trying to get all of this to work for a while(due to computer malfunctions ) and i just don’t know what to do but post on here now…
do i even need a to un-pack the files? did i the wrong thing?

Working fine, thanks for your efforts. First time I tried the installation failed, it said a dll was missing. I hadn’t updated the game since the seasons patch came out, so seeing a lot of game files changed, the better option was fully uninstall the game and install again, each step at a time, and now I have a fresh install working smoothly.
it doesn’t work. a lot of “mismatches”, i don’t even know what that is and how to fix it.
There is no Exe in the game folder after unpacking, so now i cant play cause its starting origin
Hey guys, the game is kinda broken for me, after playing a bit, sometimes, the characters just freeze in place for a while, the shopping pop-up does not show up at all and it breaks all other pop-ups, like calling someone, or going to visit a place and having to select with whom. Also, there are some missing UI elements in the job/school performance tab and the personality tab. Is it just me, or do more of you guys have these problems? Does anyone know when and if a new patch is on the way? Thank you for all the good work so far!!

I have installed and uninstalled 4 times, I finally got the game to work in a different file location with all of the patches except for the Discover University refuses to work, I have tried everything but it keeps asking me for a to unlock the patch so I can include it with all the others..I’m beyond frustrated because I finally got everything to work after months of trying… TT__TT :'(

I tried to update but midway it says something’s missing and the installation setup not responding.
I’m getting “windows cannot access the specified device, or file. error” I ran on fresh install with privilege to no avail. first update only works if update was started in the game folder which is in system drive C:\, second update just won’t work at all, it did work when I first tried it but update has to be moved from another location in C:\ , but that time i got isdone.dll error also. Where should I run the update from?
I have all the other DLCs from Anadius up to Realm of Magic. How do I update until Tiny Living? Last patch was “patch-1.55.105.1020”. Do I need to install other patches as well?
