Well HOODLUM do need better tools for the installer, all HOODLUM’s installer have tons of virus/Trojans detection while other group’s crack does not. Also I hope HOODLUM update their cracked games more often since other groups won’t bother cracking the games that have been cracked by other groups.

If you are complaining about a pirate groups installer being flagged by antivirus tools, maybe you should not play pirated copies of games.
The hoodlum installer is by far the better looking one used in the scene currently, bringing back life to the installer instead of stale boring menues.
Also, incase you aint blind, its clearly stated in the .nfo file that the installer is flagged by AVs, and that it is a false positive.
Regarding unpacking errors, do not try installing into c:\program files – its bound to fail. chose a custom installation location.
@hein if crack in 2019 can’t virus check it’s most likely real virus. It’s not 2005 anymore
setup.exe is being falsely flagged as a virus; disabled antivirus for 10 minutes and it installed a-okay. Can’t guarantee it didn’t slip a virus in during installation, but so far the game works fine. Will report back if my antivirus finds anything post-install.

Will wait for the Codex release. I don’t care about installer music, or cool installers… I DO care about potential viruses showing up and having to worry about shenanigan’s. Would be ok if it was just a single false positive, but my AV goes apeshit with this release. I don’t ever buy “its just a false positive, ignore it” when it comes to releases. So many other groups can fire up an installer and release without AV software going batshit crazy.

So the game runs fine up until after you create a character, once you click on PLAY GAME it freezes on the loading screen. Any suggestions?

I recommend two things: Disable anti virus and start the game in offline mode. There aren’t any problems when i did it.
When I launch the game I get an error saying “Please update to the latest version” and “Failed to load profile”. Any idea on what’s causing that and how to fix it?

Just 1 question, how to unistall it once im done with it entirely even if i forgot the “create unistaller option” ? is it wise to just delete the installed folder? wouldnt that leave a bunch of registry keys?
@ Miaon, if you hadn’t selected the option to let the setup installer create an uninstaller during the installation of the game, then you can go to your Control from within Windows, and go to Add / Remove programs and look to see if the game appears there, and if it does, then you can easily select it for removal.
If the game isn’t listed in Add / Remove programs, then go to the drive where you had the installer install the game for you, and you can manually delete the folder with all game files.
If you are comfortable with using Windows Registry, you can open it up, and then perform a search, Find and F3 for all things related to the name of the game: remnant from the ashes or just simply remnant. Be extra careful when working inside the Windows Registry, and make sure that any registry keys that point to the hard drive letter for where the game was installed to is the correct location, and use the F3 key to find all available traces of the game’s installation paths and files so you can safely delete the registry keys that apply to it. Keep going through the Windows Registry using the F3 key until no more traces can be found of the game, and you have safely removed all traces of the registry keys that applied to it.
Once you are done, close the Windows Registry and Restart your PC.
