Setting
Once every decade, elder dragons trek across the sea to travel to the land known as the New World in a migration referred to as the Elder Crossing.
To get to the bottom of this mysterious phenomenon, the Guild has formed the Research Commission, dispatching them in large fleets to the New World.
As the Commission sends its Fifth Fleet in pursuit of the colossal elder dragon, Zorah Magdaros, one hunter is about to embark on a journey grander than anything they could have ever imagined.

The Hunter’s Arsenal
There are fourteen different weapons at the hunter’s disposal, each with its own unique characteristics and attacks. Many hunters acquire proficiency in multiple types, while others prefer to attain mastery of one.
Scoutflies
Monster tracks, such as footprints and gashes, dot each locale. Your Scoutflies will the scent of a monster and guide you to other nearby tracks. And as you gather more tracks, the Scoutflies will give you even more information.
Slinger
The Slinger is an indispensable tool for a hunter, allowing you to arm yourself with stones and nuts that can be gathered from each locale.
From diversion tactics to creating shortcuts, the Slinger has a variety of uses, and allows you to hunt in new and interesting ways.
Specialized Tools
Specialized tools activate powerful effects for a limited amount of time, and up to two can be equipped at a time. Simple to use, they can be selected and activated just like any other item you take out on a hunt.
Palicoes
Palicoes are hunters’ reliable comrades out in the field, specialized in a variety of offensive, defensive, and restorative abilities.
The hunter’s Palico s the Fifth Fleet with pride, as much a bona fide member of the Commission as any other hunter.

You get a blackscreen for some mins at start just wait. Aperantly it was a problem with the retail version aswell. And mp or lan play with this would be so awsome.

I have tried everything to have the game work, it still shows me a black screen and then crashes after a couple of seconds without giving me any logs.
I tried a clean windows installation, I tried new drivers, I disabled any antivirus protection while it was ing, installing and unpacking. I disabled Hyper-V and Powershell, I reinstalled Steam, I reed the game files, I installed every single C++ library, nothing works whatsoever.

Once I click on the game I have to give it rights like usual. After that the mouse icon turns into the loading one for a few seconds before turning back. No black screen appears. I checked my task manager and while it is clearly there in this short loading period once the mouse icon goes back however the program disappears from the task manager. Regardless how long I wait after that nothing appears. I have already tried to reinstall the whole thing three times but the same problem keeps happening. Furthermore, on another website I saw people having the same problem like me but nobody even responded to these. I have tried to launch it via Steam as well though that also doesn’t work.

I had the same issue as Ziaine, the game didn’t start, despite having installed both the game and the update, and the steamworks fix.
So what I did is take the content of \Monster.Hunter.World.UPDATE.163956-Y\Crack\
And I put those 3 files into the MHW folder inside Program files X86

sadly some others would act to be grinch and ruin it for others… as was the case that I unfortunately stumbled upon myself; some asshole on piratebay (herosheep) claiming to be part of codex is repackaging this release, in guise of compression, with a bitcoin miner and other trojans.
if anyone got this from pirate bay, I highly highly recommend you sanitize your system.. there are several trojans which AV suchas malwarebytes and eset did not pickup.

When will the Monster Hunter World Iceborne update be released?
I installed the base game, I ed the CODEX and I installed the Game, but why does it lead me to Steam when I click the launcher?

Installed, cracked and the game never launched. It stayed in task manager until reaching 5700kbp load and then shut down every time. Tried every fix mentioned here, including installing the Y update, but nothing worked. I read the Iceborne version has the same issue, so not ing it.
