same problem as ferot6, I played it for a good hour, I had French, no worries, I have some decoration, restarted the game not even 1 hour later and impossible to restart, black screen just after the logo NVIDIA, even forcing you to close the game via task management! I’ve done a lot of manipulation, I’m doing pretty well on a PC, I’m used to “crack” games, but nothing works, I’m completely stuck! and I have a gpu rtx etc, a 4080 s! so I’m adding another version on dodi repack, to see if it does the same!
It looks like the only way to restart it is to delete everything in the remote\game-slot folder.
So the saves will be gonme and you can start from the beginning again.

I placed the fr-FR folder in the languages, I modified the steamemu.ini file by putting french instead of english for the game language.
Everything works perfectly… until you restart a game, the game freezes after the intro logos.

So here’s my take. This is still protected. Yes, you can launch it one time. But the protection is still there. It’s like a demo. You get locked out if you restart. You only get one go. Like a demo. Or if you leave your PC running for 1-2 weeks, you can beat the game. But the electricity paid might be more than an Game ? and then you could sleep better without your PC running.
So my take is: it’s a very clever new protection.

There’s already an updated ‘crack fix’ available. I found it on the IGG (I’ve Gog Games website) but I’m sure it’s available in other places too. The game runs fine, and the new crack allowed me to play from my last save.
well there is clearly a problem with this “crack” game, I just played 2 hours without any problems, I had French etc., it’s the “dodi pack”! I cut the game to do 2 or 3 things, restarted the game, 30 minutes later not even, and crashed again from the start after the nvidia logo, I restarted etc, re-planted with video card memory error etc! to be sure I restart another game, silent hill 2, absolutely no memory problems, it launches normally etc etc, I have a 4080 s eh and a big config, the problem doesn’t come from my PC! I tried to restart again having deleted all the save files etc., the game restarts normally!!! there is clearly a problem with the saves, the game etc!! ha and even as I was playing before it crashed, I had problems with DLSS etc! without dlss I had more fps! so there is a problem with that too! etc etc! I looked at other forums specializing in the same problems, including with the official versions and the Steam forum!!! well if it’s not fixed, I have the GP, Monday I will play via GP, I couldn’t wait! but clearly the game is bugged!

The crack is bad. There’s an updated crack that makes the game work properly, just hunt down the ‘crack fix’ for this game.

well I installed the tenoke version taken from IGG, put the corrective patch etc, and, finally, the game launches normally, without error, with the right language, with resumption of the save etc etc! on the other hand, the game still has problems with dlss, perf etc, but nothing to see there, even the official game has these problems, go see the steam forum etc, there are plenty of problems with perf, drop fps etc etc

With the Skidrow-Files, i could play in German, after i edited the steam_emu.ini File, but the Game didn’t save any progress.
With the Tenoke-Crack, that Sargon posted the Game saves and loads – but i can only play in english.
